The history of our circus begins in the early thirties of 20th century when it was founded by Ludvík and Anna Berousek. The ringmaster Ludvík Berousek came from the fifth generation of the famous Berousek family. He had 10 descendants, who managed to spread a small circus to really respected company thanks to their remarkable artistic creation.

Unfortunatelly all the circus with its animals was nationalized in 1950 after the communistic era began in Czech republic.

45 years thereafter one of the youngest sons of the founder Berousek decided to renew the circus company BERNES and he has started to carry on bussiness again (so far in a smaller dimensions). Nowadays our circus BERNES reaches the top level - both in the performances and its background...
